PRESENTATION NIGHT OPTIONS FOR 2012
At the end of season 2011-12 Presentation night was held at Wickhamford Sports Club. Entertainment was provided by Arrabanned.
These are the options that were considered before the decision was made to go to Wickhamford.
Did we get it right? What would have been your choice? Perhaps you'd like to give us some feedback by using the 'contact' link.
Northwick Hotel - function room holds 150 people and a 2-course meal (coffee & mints included) would cost £18.50 per person. A non-refundable deposit of £200 would be required asp. Full payment and menu choice would be required 1 week prior to the event.
The Rowing Club can seat 70 for a sit down meal or informal buffet 150 as long as you don’t expect them all to sit down. They don’t do catering and charge a room hire of £200.
The Beckford Hotel could do a 2-course sit down meal for £24.95 per person, or 3-courses for £29.95 per person.
Wickhamford Sports Club has a function room available for hire and for parties of over 50 there is no charge. They can seat up to 130, but for a sit down affair closer to 100. They have limited catering facilities but regularly have functions that have food, either cold buffet or hot meal. Organising entertainment is not a problem for them, e.g. a Video Disco at New Year is costing £150 up to an ABBA tribute band at £1000. If the event is held during summer they also have the benefits of having an outside area. There would be no problem in having a Pig Roast, there is adequate patio area and they have Gazebos for inclement weather. Cost for traditional finger buffet would be in the region of £3.50/head with a dessert option, should you require it of an additional £0.75p.
Badsey Recreation Club is available to hire, charge is negotiable but its £75 max for an evening party. They can sit a maximum of 110 in the big room (air conditioned). For normal disco/band the big room holds 140 max or 170 if you have the attached lounge too. They too could book whatever entertainment is required. Also they could open the doors and use the field. They have quite a few pig roasts either buying them already done or having them cooked all day on the spit.
Ecgwins Club can seat 46 in the hall. They have regular steak nights but can’t cater for presentation night as they simply don’t have the room to house people, trophies and entertainment.
Bridges @ Blackpole, Worcester – could put on a ‘variety show’. This would be cheaper than a comedian alone and would enable people who don’t like a particular comedian to feel more comfortable with the entertainment provided. A 2-course meal would be no problem. Guests would be able to make their choice on the night. 3 meats would be available and desserts too. They could cater for up to 120 guests (100 if the trophies need to be set out). All inclusive price (as at 03/01/12) is £12.50 per head.
Bengeworth Club – The cost of a buffet for 100 would be £300.
Ambassador Club –Normally the buffet costs £4.50 ph, but because it’s the skittles league they could do it for £3.00 ph, or if we can’t afford that they could go to £2.50 ph.
Offenham Village Hall –They have a capacity of 150. Seated and tabled for a meal 75/85. Seated for finger buffet 100. Proper fully licensed bar with bar area for 30 people. Stage easily takes 5 piece band. Sound system built in. large car park. Break out area onto large open recreation ground for good weather events. Hall hire: hall/bar only – you do all the work and organise band food etc. Event hire: they organise everything for a pre-agreed figure. Contracts and deposits required. They can put a suggested package together based on our budget.
Worcester Cricket Club does for a 3-course meal for £22.50 per person.
If we did go to Worcester or Moreton we would need to think about transport, so would need coach hire estimates to see if we need to include transport in the ticket price. Bridges is 15.9 miles from Evesham.
Dudleys Coaches – Friday in July 2012, depart Evesham, destination Bridges. Total cost of two 53 seater coaches and one 18 seater mini bus £600.00
